Birth anniversary of Rebel Poet observed

The Rebel Poet was remembered today with love and admiration.

Kazi Nazrul Islam, the peoples poet, still remains an icon after his demise. Born of 25th May 1899, Nazrul was an outspoken critic of the oppresive British regime.

The Chief Advisor of the Bangladeshi administration asserted the need to follow in the poet's example to bring dignity back to our society, while speaking at a seminar marking Nazrul's birthday.
