Bangladesh's caretaker government plans to prosecute the Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina on treason charges after security agencies seized some "sensational documents" from the residence of one of her top advisers, a media report said on Wednesday.
Quoting unidentified "sources", the Manobzamin tabloid claimed that the treason charge could be brought against her, particularly on the basis of a letter written by her to George Bush.
The report came a day after an injured Awami League (AL) activist filed a case accusing BNP leader Khaleda Zia, her son Tareque Rahman and 26 others for masterminding the August 21, 2004 grenade attack on an AL rally.
